Charity Bonfire Night at Porth Beach

One of Newquay’s best organised bonfire nights is being held at Porth Beach on Tuesday 5 November. It is a great location and always well attended. No matter how old you are, watching the fireworks launch from the beach and then light up the cliffs and the sea behind is a magical experience.

Best of all, this is a free event so you can treat yourself to a nice warming drink from the pub or sample some of the fantastic hot food from the BBQ served by the outside seating area.

Organised by the Mermaid Inn the BBQ usually starts around 6.30pm whilst the bonfire and fireworks will be lit from about 7.30pm. Afterwards there will be a disco in the bar. Entrance is free but staff will be going round with a charity collection bucket to raise funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.
