Truro Food Festival 2024

This is a vibrant celebration of Cornish food, running from Wednesday 25th September to Sunday 29th September. Set in the heart of Truro at Lemon Quay, the event aims to highlight the diverse culinary scene of Cornwall, featuring everything from award-winning chefs to local street food vendors.

Chef’s Theatre:
A daily lineup of cooking demonstrations by 30 both well-known, and our own up-and-coming local chefs.

Some highlights include Jasmine Sharma from Dakku in Falmouth, Tony Duce from Truro College showcasing the talents of hospitality students, Ondine Hartgroves from Hart of the Valley with a demo on Cornish local dishes, and Stephen Marsh from Perranporth Golf Club demonstrating innovative Cornish cuisine.

Pasta Making Workshop with Alan Rosenthal.
Wine Masterclasses led by sommelier Elly Owen.
Fermentation demo by Caitlin Walsh, founder of Delea Fermented Food​.

Street Food & Producer’s Village:
A bustling market with local food vendors and producers, offering a range of street foods, including Cornish pasties, seafood, vegan options, and more. Expect to see regional favourites and new twists on classic dishes.

Family-friendly Activities:
Alongside food and drink, the festival offers family workshops, including a Schools Workshop on sustainable cooking and hands-on activities throughout the weekend.

Fringe Events:
Pop-up events will be spread across the city, particularly on Boscawen Street on the opening and closing days, extending the festival atmosphere beyond Lemon Quay.

Evening Events:
Skinner’s Brewery will run the bar and host evening events at The Tap Yard Bar, making it a great spot for festival-goers to wind down with a pint of local craft beer​.

With its focus on sustainability and local produce, this year’s event is set to be an even more environmentally conscious festival, showcasing the very best of Cornish food and culture. The festival is organized in collaboration with the Truro Farmers’ Market and supported by local Partners & Sponsors.
