If you’re heading to Cornwall for half term and want some days away from the beaches, there’s lots of half term activities at some of Cornwall’s attractions.
The Eden Project
Game On
All ages can get involved in game playing. From giant Battleships to hide and seek, discover traditional and modern games. Learn how to code, try some retro video gaming or join a Subbuteo tournament. Great storytelling and activities throughout the week. Normal admission prices apply.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Heligan Wild Week
Discover tribal headdress, a giant assault course, relax in a hammock or toast marshmallows by the fire. Lots of great outdoor activities all week. Normal admission prices apply.
The National Trust
Trerice Costume Day
30th May
Step back in time and try on traditional costumes. Normal admission prices, adult supervision required.
Trevithick Tuesdays
31st May
Learn all about steam power and pumping engines at East Pool Mine. Normal admission prices apply.
Marine Discovery Day
2nd June
Join conservationists at Polzeath Beach and find out about marine life, making an animated film, creating beach sculptures and discovering rock pool life. 10am – 4pm, free event.
Lanhydrock Spring Family Trail
All week
Follow the clues around the garden, small prize at the end. Normal admission price plus £2 for a trail.
I dig Godolphin
From 1st June
Archaeology themed trail around the estate. Normal admission prices apply.
Tregwainton half term explorations
29th May – 2nd June
Follow in the steps of the plant hunters and try some art on the way. Normal admission prices apply.
Dressing the Copper Ore
29th May – 3rd June
Try your hand at breaking the rock with hammers and learn about the copper ore at Levant Mine and Beam Engine. Normal admission prices apply.
