Cornwall’s Eden Project will become a haven for budding David Attenborough’s this May half-term, as it hosts the “Freaky Nature with Bugs” event between 28th May & 2nd June. Bay Retreat Villas, located within easy driving distance of the Eden Project, are offering £200 off stays in any of the contemporary two-bedroom villas, making it an ideal choice for a family getaway.
The Eden Project offers a huge range of attractions for all the family. The “Freaky Nature with Bugs” event will offer fun, games and opportunities to discover the world of insects throughout half term, including “Freaky Golf” – a course themed around the food cycle; a Sundew Velcro Wall where kids can learn how stickiness can help plants trap insects; mega microscopes; a Bug Boutique with a bug dressing-up box for under 5s; storytelling, a freaky nature trail, and “Welcome to the Dark Side” which investigates the survival techniques of powerful plants.
This stylish development of twenty-eight stylish holiday villas is set within St Merryn Park on the outskirts of St Merryn and just three miles from Padstow. Each villa is equipped with widescreen TV, including Sky Sports and DVD, a fully equipped kitchen, central heating, private garden with a terrace and lawn. A limited number of villas also welcome dogs at a supplement. The offer means that a seven-night stay during the May half term will cost from £750 for up to five adults and one child sharing.
Entry to the Eden Project is priced from £19.95 per adult and £8.90 (ages 5-16), when booked online in advance. Kids under 5 go free. The price includes the Freaky Nature with Bugs event, although admission to the Velcro Wall costs £2.50.
